Hello and welcome to my portfolio !
My name is Fabian Salvini, I'm 27 years old and I currently live in Marseille in the south of France. Video games have always been a passion for me, and they have since led me to make it my job ! Initially aiming to become a programmer in this industry, I then discovered the profession of Game Designer as well as all the other associated fields (including Level Design).
A few years ago, while playing, I only paid attention to the game itself, to what I had to do to accomplish an objective. Today, I realize how important each person working on a game is, how every carefully integrated detail can make a difference in the player experience, whether it's the sound of a campfire, a gesture in the interaction animation, a tree leaf texture, sunlight illuminating a dark room...Of course, it all depends on the art style !
However, all of this would struggle to come to life without the Game and Level Designers. A few years ago, I was unaware of the existence of these professions. But after 1 year of Computer Science and 2 years of BTEC in Communication, I recently completed 4 years of studies at the Artline Institute to learn what Game and Level Designers do behind the scenes !
Now, I'm looking forward to join a team and get my first job in the video game industry !
